Web Hosting Plans Feature Descripton Storage Storage is a measure of hard drive space, normally measured in megabytes (MB). To demonstrate just how big 1MB of storage is, let's say each web page on your web site is about 65KB, then 1MB of storage can provide you approximately: 1MB / 65KB = 1,000KB / 65KB = 15 web pages. Monthly Transfer Transfer is a measure of network traffic, normally measured in megabytes (MB) or gigabytes (GB). To give you an idea just how many pages a Biz Web Hosting Plan (1000MB / month) can serve per month, assuming each web page is about 65KB in size, then 1000MB of Monthly Transfer can serve approximately: 1000MB / 65KB = 1,000,000KB / 65KB = 15,384 page views The POP Mailbox feature is a means to store eMail messages so that they can be retrieved by the owner from anywhere on the Internet. Database Database provides easy and fast data management capability. Tritech's MySQL Database Servers utilize SQL (Structured Query Language), the language of choice for all modern database systems. You can also access MySQL using applications that support ODBC (Open Database Connectivity), JDBC (Java Database Connectivity) or other APIs. Domain Name Registration A Domain Name (www.my-company.com) is your identity on the Internet. Like your business address, it is equally important when building your Internet presence. Upon subscribing to Tritech's Web Hosting Plan, Tritech will register your desired Domain Name on your behalf. While many other providers may charge you a separate fee for the Domain Name Registration, Tritech's Web Hosting Plans include that at no additional cost. eMail Aliasing The eMail Aliasing feature allows you to have multiple names for one POP Mailbox. One useful example is you publicize "information@my-domain.com" for your company, but some of your customers may mistakenly remember "info@my-domain.com" as your company's eMail address. Instead of creating another POP Mailbox for "info@my-domain.com", you can simply create an alias "info" for the "information" POP Mailbox. When somebody sends an eMail to "info@my-domain.com", it will automatically go into the "information@my-domain.com" POP Mailbox. The aliasing process is seamless and un-noticeable to the eMail senders. eMail Forwarding The eMail forwarding feature allows you to automatically forward eMails from one POP Mailbox to any Internet e-Mail address. One useful example is you usually check your Hotmail, and you don't feel like setting up a separate account on your local computer. So what you can do is to have "information@my-domain.com" eMails forwarded to your Hotmail account. The forwarding process is seamless and un-noticeable to the eMail senders. Vacation Agent The Vacation Agent feature allows you to automatically send a text file reply when you receive an eMail. This is useful if you want to let people know that you are on vacation and will not be able to immediately reply to their eMail. Microsoft FrontPage 2000 Support Tritech's Web Servers are equipped with FrontPage Server Extension. When your Web Site has FrontPage Server Extension enabled, you can use FrontPage to create and maintain your Web Site. Tritech's FrontPage Server Extension supports FrontPage 97, 98 and 2000. Graphical Traffic Statistics The Graphical Traffic Statistics feature creates graphs that depict the amount of traffic to your site, which documents are being accessed, and who is accessing them. CGI Scripts and Your Own CGI-BIN Pre-installed CGI scripts include Visitor Counter, FormMail, Guestbook, Web Bulletin Board, and Web Chat. Your Own CGI-BIN directory allows you to run any CGI script from a directory located inside your Web Site directory, provided the script conforms to the Terms and Conditions of usage agreement.
